About Us

 

Rebecca completed her Bachelor of Podiatry at Latrobe University following a degree in Human Movement at RMIT, and she has undertaken additional training in dry needling and injection therapy. Rebecca also enjoys treating complex lower limb and foot issues as well as other foot pathologies including skin and nail conditions, and has recently undertaken training in the latest technology for treating fungal nail infections, Photodynamic Light Therapy. Rebecca is dedicated to professional development and likes to keep up with the latest research.  Rebecca is committed to improving her client’s discomfort, their quality of life and ensuring their quickest possible return to functional activity. Rebecca also has extended knowledge in peadiatrics.

Rebecca’s interest in sports podiatry stems from her love of all sports. She has been a member of the Victorian Water Polo Team, and was awarded Victorian Surf Lifesaver of the year for outstanding overall contribution to Surf Lifesaving in 1999.

Kelly graduated from Latrobe Univeristy with a Bachelor of Podiatry in 2010 with a keen interest to work along the Surf Coast. She was excited to become part of the community where she spent her holidays growing up. She undertook her final year placements in London and France where she gained rewarding experience into Sports Podiatry and new and exciting techniques yet to be seen in Australia. She is an active member of the Lorne Surf Life Saving club and spends the colder months skiing at Mt. Buller where she is currently consulting with boot fitters to improve skiers comfort. Kelly is passionate about professional development and enjoys working with clients to improve their foot health.

Leah has been working in the Geelong region for over ten years after graduating from a Bachelor of Podiatry at La Trobe University.

Leah offers a range of podiatry services including general foot and nail care, diabetes foot assessments, diabetes foot education, biomechanical and gait assessments, prescription orthotics and footwear advice.
Leah has a particular interest in netball related foot injuries, as she is a self confessed local netball tragic, currently playing as the A grade captain at the Portarlington Netball Club. Leah also describes herself as an enthusiastic yet terrible snowboarder and enjoys spending time at Falls Creek over the winter months.

Alice Goodear

Alice joined Surfcoast Podiatry in 2013. She is currently practicing at our Belmont, Anglesea and Jan Juc clinics. 
Alice completed her VCE at The Geelong College in 2008 and graduated from La Trobe University in 2012 with a Masters of Podiatry. 
Alice enjoys working with people from all walks of life, people with sports injuries, flat feet, ingrown toenails, corns, callous, fungal nails and bunions. In particular she enjoys caring for people with diabetes and takes an interest in diabetes related foot complications and preventative diabetes foot care and education.

Zack May

Belmont and Anglesea

Zack joined Surfcoast Podiatry at the beginning of 2016 after completing his studies at Latrobe University in Bendigo. Zack hails from the small country town of Donald in the states North West. He enjoys all aspects of podiatry, with special interests in sports and biomechanics as well as the prevention of diabetic-related foot problems. He finds that the helping to relieve patient’s symptoms is the most rewarding part of the job, regardless of the complexity of the problem. Away from work, Zack plays both football and basketball having played at state level in both sports.

Amy Hawker

Amy completed a Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Podiatric Practice. Following a stint working overseas, Amy has consulted across regional Victoria before becoming a part of the Surf Coast Podiatry team in 2018. 

Amy is a caring, professional podiatrist who finds building long term relationships with patients incredibly satisfying. She enjoys all aspects of podiatry, with a special interest in sports related injuries, and paediatric/adolescent foot health. 

Amy has continued to develop professionally undertaking postgraduate courses in dry needling, shockwave therapy, foot mobilisation & manipulation and running technique. Amy continues to stay up to date with the latest research and clinical techniques. 

Outside of podiatry, Amy enjoys an active lifestyle including walking along the beach with her dogs and marathon running.
